Diana Gee, Advisory Board Member
Diana represented the United States as a table tennis athlete in two Olympic Games (1988 and 1992). She is also a nine-time National Women’s Double Champion and five-time National Mixed Doubles Champion. Diana was a member of the U.S. National Team from 1985 through 1992, was honored as the USA Table Tennis Sportswoman and Female Amateur Athlete of the Year in 1985, and was the 1990 National Collegiate Singles and Mixed Doubles Champion. She was inducted into the USA Table Tennis Hall of Fame in 2009. In addition to being an elite athlete, Diana has continued to give back to her sport and the Olympic Movement. She has represented the U.S. at the International Olympic Academy, worked for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, served as Athlete Liaison for the 1997 U.S. Summer World University Games Delegation, and was an athlete representative for the USOC’s Athlete Advisory Council from 1998-2000. In 2008, she acted as a U.S. Olympic Ambassador for athletes competing in the Olympics in Beijing. In 2012, Diana volunteered at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Cary, NC, and she continues to do some part time coaching.
Michael L. Babuin, PhD, Advisory Board Member
Mike served on the Board of Directors for the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) in 2013 and 2014. He also served on the Board of Directors for USA Table Tennis (USATT), the Olympic national governing body, from late 2007 through 2016, and as Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2012 and 2013.
Mike also served as Chairman of the USATT Hardbat (now renamed as the Classic TT) Committee. Additionally, he served as a member of the Board of Advisors for National Collegiate Table Tennis Association (NCTTA) for several years. Locally in North Carolina, Mike founded and served as President of Cary Table Tennis Association. He also served for many years as the founder, promoter, organizer, and chief fund-raiser for the Cary Cup Championship – the largest giant round robin table tennis competition in the USA. Mike was the principal member of the team that brought and managed the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials (March 2012) and the North American Team Trials (April 2012) to Cary, NC. Mike has served as organizer for table tennis competitions for State Games, Senior Games, Corporate Games, and Valor Games competitions, as well as a volunteer at the World Special Olympics (table tennis). Mike is a USATT Certified Regional Umpire and a USATT Certified Regional Coach, and is currently certified as an ITTF Level 1/PTT Coach. As an athlete, Mike has won several National and State championship level accolades including:

• U1800 Hardbat Racket singles competition (Champion- US Nationals);
• U1700 Sandpaper Racket singles competition (Champion) – US Open 2014;

• North Carolina Senior Games Mixed Doubles Competition (3x Gold Medalist)
• Wake County Senior Games Men’s Singles Competition (Gold Medalist 2017); 4x Silver Medalist 2014 – 2016; 2018);
• Wake County Senior Games Men’s Doubles Competition (5x Gold Medalist 2014 - 2017);
• Wake County Senior Games Mixed Doubles Competition (5x Gold Medalist 2014 - 2017).

Ann has held technical, sales, marketing, and management roles at IBM, and served as a Vice President in Bricker & Associates, a specialized management consulting firm in Chicago, IL. She was a co-founder and President of Campbell Alliance Group, Inc., the premier management consulting firm focused on the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, and its market research and e-learning subsidiaries, with hundreds of employees in offices across the US and Europe. She is now an investor and Board Member for WasteZero, a Raleigh-based company that partners with municipalities to deliver the most effective waste reduction programs in the US. She also serves on the Board of Public Schools First NC.
